Ionic has written a demo application that is informally referred to as the “Machina cloud copy tool”. It serves as an example implementation for how to secure data across different cloud providers, where the protection follows the data.

In this article, you will find a video simulation of the Ionic platform in a “go-live scenario” of a GDPR-type policy where data was previously stored on-prem, and is now moving to the cloud, where it will be protected, encrypted and access controlled.

It then shows how you can make real-time decisions about whether access to the data should be allowed or denied.
