This handbook looks at the best practices for migrating to Windows Server 2012. Windows Server has traditionally formed the cornerstone of IT infrastructure in many organizations, and, for a majority of those companies, that will remain true. Enhancements in areas such as automation and scalability, however, make Windows Server 2012 much more of a cloud tool. The product’s cloud focus, in fact, is significant and deliberate, to the point where Microsoft has taken to calling Windows Server 2012 its “cloud OS.” This handbook will provide guidance on how best to bring Windows Server 2012’s enhanced capabilities into an organization with as little disruption as possible.
