In their second comparative challenge, The HP StorageWorks EVA asked three teams of high school students who had never configured a storage array to run timed tests on EVA, NetApp and EMC to see which one is easiest to use. After a crash course in storage techniques they performed basic tasks on each storage array, including creating a 20GB RAID LUN, presenting the LUN to a host, creating a writeable snapshot, and presenting the snapshot to a host.
When the time was up EVA was the clear winner with students praising its ease of use, intuitive controls, and speed. View this webcast for all the details.
