Focus: Private cloud

The private cloud is often viewed as a stepping stone for enterprises keen to tap into the business agility benefits of cloud without ceding total control over where their applications and workloads run. For some organisations, such deployments act as a test bed environment, where they can work out where best to run their workloads before taking the plunge with public cloud or continuing on with their private cloud endeavours. If organisations need to retain a high level of control over their data, or if the business information they have is particularly sensitive, private cloud could be a good fit, but may require making some compromises (compared with using public cloud) with regard to pricing, scalability and functionality. In this e-guide, we take a look at what enterprises need to consider before moving to the private cloud, from a technical and business agility perspective, while sharing real-world examples of companies who’ve made the move successfully.
