American Tower Breaks Ground on New Edge Data Center in Raleigh, North Carolina

American Tower is launching a new edge data center in Raleigh, North Carolina, as part of its "Aggregation Edge Data Centers" initiative to bring cloud services closer to users, enhancing hybrid cloud and AI performance.

Located in the rapidly expanding Research Triangle area, the center will start with 1 MW of power, scalable to 4 MW. Construction will proceed over the summer, with operations starting in Q1 2025.
