Microsoft enables 3rd party telecom service providers to deliver SIP trunk services for Teams Phone System. This SIP trunk service, called Direct Routing, requires the SIP trunk provider to connect to a Microsoft certified Session Border Controller (SBC) which then connects to Teams Phone System.
