The “lift and shift” method for migrating to the cloud is only half of the picture. The other half? Optimizing cloud-native development.
Rather than trying to transfer monolithic legacy applications to the cloud, focus instead on cloud-native applications and microservices. The latter areas find better results, as they interact seamlessly with the cloud rather than holding onto older development practices and betting on integration.
