In this issue we take tell the story of how a school network transformed IT through its storage systems.
The Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta (CEDP), covers a large area in the west of Sydney, With more than 43,000 students and 4,500 staff spread across 56 primary and 22 secondary schools. It has built up a significant computing infrastructure over the years to deliver all manner of educational resources to its facilities.
We will also look at the state of the storage market in ANZ, concentrating on Australia in particular and the take-up of all-flash arrays compared with hybrid flash/spinning disk solutions. We describe the benefits and disadvantages of each, to explain why organisations are favouring one over the other. We will feature research findings and comment from Gartner and Frost & Sullivan as well as some examples of how organisations are coping with storage challenges in the region.
