State of DNS Availability Report

In this latest Verisign State of the DNS Availability Report, data compiled for Verisign shows that during the second quarter of 2011, DNS availability remains a problem even for the Internet’s top-ranked e-commerce sites. Data gathered from a global sample of websites reveals that sites hosting their own DNS – which happens to be most enterprises – are far more impacted by availability problems than sites using third-party managed DNS providers. This is particularly evident when examining data on minimum availability.
